Chapter 1.3 The Immortal Descends to the Mortal Realm

High in the void, Eldrin calmly withdrew his gaze, a trace of helplessness stirring within his heart.

With his immortal means, Eldrin could overturn heaven and earth in an instant, transforming deserts into grasslands. Turning seas into mulberry fields would require only a negligible expenditure of his immortal essence.

Yet even immortals have their limits. He could transform a desert into lush grasslands, turn vast oceans into fertile fields, and shelter hundreds of millions of miles of mountains and rivers along with all living beings.

Yet even so, this was but a drop in the ocean compared to the entire annihilated world.

"The will of heaven and earth has fallen silent, the world's membrane lies shattered—this realm has reached the brink of annihilation."

Lyra gazed upon this realm and let out a tranquil sigh. After a long while, she shook her head and said, "Unless we restore the Primordial Membrane of Heaven and Earth, any attempt to reshape the world would ultimately be futile."

Hmph!

Eldrin (Person Name) nodded slightly before speaking, "Though we have attained immortality and now enjoy boundless freedom and unrestrained existence,"

"Yet how could I stand idly by when an entire Great 1000 World teeters on the brink of destruction, with countless lives facing imminent devastation? It would weigh heavily on my conscience."

Beside him, Qing Ji (Person Name) also gave a slight nod and spoke, “Mending the Primordial Membrane of Heaven and Earth is no simple task. It requires the legendary divine material known as the Heaven-Mending Divine Clay (Divine Object).”

Lyra frowned. The Heaven-Mending Divine Clay was an exceedingly rare immortal-grade treasure; even Earth Immortals would seek to collect it, and most who obtained it would be reluctant to part with it.

They possessed only 2 or 3 Immortal-rank treasures in their hands, let alone such a supreme treasure of this caliber.

However, Eldrin shook his head and said, "Though we possess no Patching Heaven Divine Clay, that doesn’t mean none exists within the Realm of Emptiness."

"You mean...?" A trace of confusion flickered across Qing Ji's face.

Eldrin offered no explanation. In a single step, he traversed the void and descended deep into the core of the Cosmic Abyss Realm.

They flew all the way to the core of the Void Realm, where deep within the earth's heart, they beheld a divine clay shimmering with 5-colored immortal light.

"Is this the 5-Colored Divine Clay?"

Lyra was inwardly astonished, a flicker of delight coloring her expression.

Eldrin nodded slightly and began, "The 5-Colored Divine Clay is exceedingly rare in the mortal realm, yet it remains a supreme treasure born of destiny."

“At the moment this Cosmic Void Realm faced annihilation, it exhausted most of its origin energy to nurture this clump of 5-Colored Divine Clay in pursuit of 1 last shred of vitality.”

At this point, Eldrin felt a sudden inspiration. There was a considerable amount of 5-Colored Divine Clay—even after mending the heavens of the Void Realm, 1 portion should remain. It was clearly the Void Realm’s intended reward for the Heaven-Mending Immortal.

With this thought in mind, Eldrin put away the 5-Colored Divine Clay and declared, "The 3 of us joining forces to mend the heavens with this 5-Colored Divine Clay shall be considered no small merit."

After making their decision, the 3 joined forces and began mending the rifts in the Cosmic Void Realm.

Thus, after a full cycle of 60 years, they succeeded in mending the Primordial Membrane of the Empyrean Realm, thereby averting the Cataclysmic Tribulation of World Annihilation.

After mending the World's Embryonic Membrane, Eldrin accepted 7 nominal disciples and imparted fragments of cultivation techniques. Having restored the foundational cultivation methods for this realm, he finally departed from the Realm of Void Abyss.

After he departed from the Huanxu Realm, his 7 disciples each achieved remarkable cultivation feats, ultimately forming the most glorious faction in the Huanxu Realm.

In the new era of the Cosmic Void Realm, these 7 disciples revered them as the Ancestors of the Dao, leaving behind the legend of how the Return to Ruins Immortal descended to the mortal world to mend the heavens and impart the teachings of the Dao.

Of course, these events would come later. For now, Eldrin had already departed from the Realm of Emptiness and waited outside its borders for 1 100 years.

A century later, Eldrin witnessed a streak of light soaring from the depths of the endless starry expanse, arriving just beyond the bounds of the Empyreal Void Realm.

A young man clad in Taoist robes arrived in haste, darting through the starry expanse beside the Realm of Emptiness. There, he immediately spotted Eldrin and the other 2.

His expression shifted slightly, a trace of solemnity flashing in his eyes.

He glanced at the intact Void Realm and instantly deduced that the 3 of them had restored the Primordial Membrane of Heaven and Earth, letting out another sigh of relief.

He cupped his hands toward the 3 of them, offering an exceptionally courteous smile as he said, "I must express my gratitude to the 3 fellow immortals for your righteous intervention, saving my mother realm from the calamity of destruction."

"It was but a trivial effort, fellow Daoist. You are too courteous."

Eldrin smiled faintly, gesturing for the person before him to dispense with formalities—yet he accepted the bow all the same.

For immortals who have ascended from the vast cosmos, this Primordial Realm is akin to the birth parents who nurtured them.

By saving the Mortal Realm from destruction, I have essentially saved his father—this bow is well-deserved.

Seeing that the 3 had accepted his bow, the immortal finally took a closer look at them, unable to conceal his astonishment. He drew a deep breath and said, “I am Huanxu (Person Name), hailing from the Qingcang Immortal Realm (Location), and serve as an elder of the Qingli Immortal Sect (Sect Name).”

"Fellow Daoists, your transcendent talents shine brightly across the heavens. I presume your journey brings you here from roaming the starry skies. Might I inquire which celestial realm you hail from, and which great sect's true transmission you carry?"

Upon hearing this, Eldrin (Person Name) couldn't help but flicker his eyes slightly, though he quickly regained his composure. He more or less understood the intentions of Daoist Huanxu (Cultivator Title).

The disparity between each realm of Immortals is vast and profound. Many who have ascended for tens of thousands of years may still fail to advance even a single layer in their cultivation.

He had only become an immortal for a little over a 1000 years, yet he had already reached the second level of the Ascension Realm. This was utterly unlike a newly ascended immortal.

Thus, the Void-Wandering Daoist believed he was an immortal from a major faction of the Celestial Realm, journeying through the cosmos on a pilgrimage.

Of course, what made Elder Huanxu so certain was the overwhelming strength of these 3 individuals.

All 3 had attained the principles of immortal bodies and Dao Fruits. At a mere glance, it was evident they could not have been nurtured in any ordinary major world.

To the Great 1000 Worlds, even if they exhausted millions of years of accumulated resources and were fortunate enough to give rise to 1 such candidate for the Great Luo, it would be impossible for 3 to emerge simultaneously.

Only those paramount sects of the immortal realm, and even the peerless divine institutions, where Great Luo Golden Immortals pacify the cosmos and Primordial Spiritual Treasures anchor their destiny, could possibly cultivate 3 prodigies of this caliber simultaneously.

At that thought, Eldrin simply followed his lead and said, “To be frank, it’s not convenient for me to say much about my sect.”

"However, this journey across the starry skies was undertaken solely by the decree of our sect elders, to slay the Calamity Demon God."

"Now that the Calamity Fiend God has been slain, saving the Mundane Void Realm is but a trivial matter."

"The Calamity Demon God has perished!"

Elder Xuankong's face underwent a startling transformation, revealing an expression of utter astonishment.

The Calamity Demon Lord's cultivation was on par with his own, and with the protection of a supreme-grade Postnatal Demonic Treasure, even if he were to strike personally, he could never prevail against the Calamity Demon Lord.

To slay the Calamity Demon God, we would likely have to pay a tremendous price and persuade the other 3 immortal elders of the Cerulean Glaze Immortal Sect—perhaps even the sect master himself—to join forces. Only then would we have a 30 percent chance of success.

The fact that the person before him had managed to slay it clearly demonstrated that their methods far surpassed his own.

With this thought in mind, Daoist Huanxu grew increasingly convinced that the 3 were true disciples of a great sect, perhaps even direct disciples of a Great Luo Immortal Lord. He dared not inquire further.
